While my production process generally involves building a website from the ground up, depending on your existing Squarespace or Shopify theme, version and code, I may certainly be able to make revisions and improvements to your existing site! This is something that we would work together to determine at our initial consultation. A good thing to keep in mind however is that depending on the number of changes to implement and project scope, both routes –working to improve an existing site vs. developing a new site, may have similar timelines.

Absolutely! In our work together, I would be more than happy to help you purchase your domain and configure this to your new website. I advise going through this process earlier on in our work together as domain initialization can take a several days to process. As a service add-on, I can provide annual domain monitoring and management to ensure your website operates smoothly.

While I love some good custom code, I understand that this limits many with the ability to easily modify or publish new pieces of content to your website without knowing how to locate and edit this code. 

At the end of your project, I’ll walk you through the process of making simple changes and revisions to your website in future and provide you with guides and resources on how to make these changes.

#1 - Time! It’s important that you have carved out time to go over your project as needed. Ensure that you are available to hop onto a call or reply to an email to go over any details or approvals before your website goes live. 

#2 - Your established budget: While my services generally start at $1700, there are additional costs to consider when creating a website for your business that do not come to me, such as paying for your website domain name, your monthly or annual website hosting subscription (either through Squarespace or Shopify), premium Shopify themes and app subscriptions or plug-ins to add additional functionality to your website (such a booking and scheduling, email marketing, reward programs or on-site marketing plug-ins). During our initial consult, I'll be able to give you more of an idea of what additional costs you can expect to see aside from our work together to ensure you stay within your overall budget. 

#3 - Written content, imagery and visual brand identify guidelines: Before we begin, it’s important that you are able to provide content, logos and desired colour schemes relating to your brand as well as product or brand photos to feature on your site. If needed, you may also request add-on services to be included in your package that include creative copywriting and photography created or curated by Collected Studio Co. to be published to your website. It’s important to have these valuable pieces of content prepared and ready to work with prior to the outset of our project work together to avoid costs associated with rescheduling.
